MPA Education and Outreach Needs Assessment
The CA MPA Needs Assessment survey, meant to identify strategic gaps and priorities for MPA Outreach & Education across CA, was conducted in Spring & Summer of 2018. Over 230 responses were collected from surveys, interviews and site visits across a range of audiences including Federal & local governments, NGOs, academic and research institutions, anglers, non-consumptive recreational users, tourism outlets, docents, volunteers and more! The insights provided by the survey have been invaluable in understanding the effectiveness, needs & strengths of MPA education and outreach across the state.
